The Coast Guard in New Orleans says efforts to clean up the spill of around 1,400 gallons of heavy fuel oil from the Mississippi River is expected to begin today.
The discharge, which remains under investigation, happened Monday involving a ship near the Shell Norco Manufacturing Complex in Norco.
At least 40 people and six vessels were initially deployed to the location.
